Commercial blocks

One block system.
Countless commercial properties.

The same HDPE blocks are connected to create a wide variety of structures — ports, clubs, municipalities, and contractors build, modify, and expand according to their needs.

Extra berths during high season
Construct temporary block spaces when demand peaks, and dismantle them again outside of the season.
Floating Bridges and Walkways
Connect blocks to form bridges of the width and length required by the harbour — with a non-slip surface all the way.
Service dock for jet skis and small boats
The vessel is rolled out of the water on the built-in rollers, allowing for dry rental, preparation, and cleaning.
Work and assembly platforms
Contractors are building a stable working platform on the water for inspection, repair, and construction work.
Event and Activities Deck
Clubs, municipalities, and resorts collect blocks for swimming platforms, kayak launching, and event stages.
Rental Fleet and Training
Fixed pick-up points for SUPs, kayaks, and rental vessels with safe embarkation and disembarkation.

Economy

Floating dock vs. concrete.
Same function — the fraction of the price.

A cast concrete bridge requires a contractor, pile driving, crane, and heavily regulated design. A modular MDOCK system is delivered on a pallet and assembled on-site — typically in less than a day. The figures below are empirical values for a system of approx. 50 m²; we always provide a specific estimate for your project.

Parameter Concrete bridge / quay facility MDOCK floating dry dock
Construction cost (approx. 50 m²) DKK 600,000 – 1,200,000 DKK 150,000 – 300,000
Savings Typically 60–75%
Construction period 6–16 weeks with a contractor 1–2 days with your own crew
Foundation Pile driving, casting, crane None — the plant is floating
Authorities Heavy casework, permanent facility Minor case, often temporary construction
Annual maintenance Cracks, frost damage, reinforcement Flushing — HDPE does not rust or rot
Lifespan 20–40 years, cannot be changed 20+ years, can be continuously rebuilt
Relocation / Expansion Demolition and recasting Will be reconnected in hours
Winter Storage Not possible Taken up and stored ashore
Residual value Zero at demolition Blocks can be reused or sold
  • 60–75% lower installation cost than a cast solution
  • 1–2 days from delivery until the facility is in operation
  • DKK 0 for foundation, piling, and crane work

Prices are indicative experience figures excluding VAT and depend on size, location, wave conditions, and accessories.
